Co-Organisers: International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG), Canadian Geophysical Union (CGU), Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS), and JPdL International
2019 marks the 100th anniversary of IUGG. At its General Assembly this year, scientists, industry experts, and academics will gather to will look back on the accomplishments of the previous century of Earth and space science research, and forward to the next century of scientific advancement.
On 9 July 2019, UNU-FLORES researcher Mahesh Jampani will give an oral presentation titled “Land-Use Change Impacts on Groundwater Recharge Dynamics in a Wastewater Irrigated Peri-Urban Environment” in the session “H10 – Quantifying Vulnerability and Human Impact on Urban Water Resources”. He will also be actively part of International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) scientific association meetings.
The IUGG Scientific General Assembly occurs once every four years, where high-level scientific discussions happen on Earth system sciences. This year the IUGG is hosted by Canada. IAHS is one of the eight associations that comprise the IUGG.
