    Under the patronage of the Free State of Saxony, the Saxon Hans-Carl-von-Carlowitz Gesellschaft e.V. is organising the Sustainability Conference of Saxony in Chemnitz.

    The diverse programme includes talks by Michael Kretschmer, Minister President of the Free State of Saxony. Prof. Edeltraud Guenther, Director of UNU-FLORES will give a laudation for Patricia Espinosa Cantellano, Secretary-General of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), who is receiving the Sustainability Award this year. Among other prizewinners is Greta Thunberg, known for having started the “Fridays for Future” movement.

    In the second part “Klimawandel – Wieso? Weshalb? Warum?” two students, Christian Serrer and David Nelles, talk about the causes and consequences of climate change.
