    “Towards a Constructed Wetlands Knowledge Platform” and “Propuesta H2020 sobre sistemas naturales para el año 2019” at IV Pan-American Conference on Wetland Systems for the Management, Treatment and Improvement of Water Quality

    At the conference UNU-FLORES will convene two events with the following goals:

    • contribute to the dissemination of wetlands as systems for improving water quality;
    • bring together national and international experts to share experiences and progress on constructed and natural wetlands; and
    • bring together the different research groups working in the field of wetlands to find mechanisms for scientific cooperation.

    UNU-FLORES Academic Officer, Dr Tamara Avéllan will present on the development of the Constructed Wetlands Knowledge Platform (CWKP) and try to identify one or several consortia for the upcoming H202 call on nature-base solutions in the CELAC region

    Her presentation “Towards a Constructed Wetlands Knowledge Platform.” starts at 9:20 AM, her presentation on “Propuesta H2020 sobre sistemas naturales para el año 2019” will take place at 14:00 PM.

    • Contribuir con la difusión de los humedales como sistemas de mejoramiento de la calidad del agua.
    • Reunir a expertos nacionales e internacionales para compartir experiencias y avances sobre los humedales construidos y naturales.
    • Reunir a los distintos grupos de investigación que trabajan en el campo de los humedales para encontrar mecanismos de cooperación científica.

    Background

    Since 2012, there have been successive editions of the “Pan-American Conference on Wetland Systems for the Management, Treatment and Improvement of Water Quality”. They are organised by universities and research centers in different countries in Latin America, with the support of the University of Aarhus (Denmark).
