UNU-FLORES and Technische Sammlungen Dresden have called on professional and amateur photographers and videographers to advocate for the Resource Nexus and sustainability through a photo and video storytelling contest. The competition successfully received over 400 photos and 25 videos submissions from almost 40 countries around the world.
Prof. Edeltraud Guenther (UNU-FLORES) and Roland Schwarz (TSD) moderate this evening event, which forms part of the Long Night of Science 2021 (Lange Nacht der Wissenschaft 2021).
During the evening, TSD announces the formal opening of the Wolke 8. The Climate and Us exhibition, an interactive science exhibition that also offers workshops for families and school classes.
The highlight of the evening is the announcement of the winners for the Photo & Video storytelling contest during the prize ceremony.
The event will be live-streamed here. No registration is required for online participation.
The “Sustainability Stories” initiative is supported by the Saxon State Ministry for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture (SMEKUL).
Tying in with the UN International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development 2021, UNU-FLORES and Technische Sammlungen Dresden jointly organised the “Sustainability Stories” photo and video competition.
This initiative and the prize ceremony event form part of the Long Night of Science 2021 (Lange Nacht der Wissenschaft 2021).
On 24 July 2021, the vernissage of the Sustainability Stories – Special Exhibition showcasing the best works will be opened in conjunction with the Museum Night Dresden 2021. It also forms part of the Wolke 8. The Climate and Us exhibition.
