Luisa Cortat presents her work around the topic “Sustainable Practices and the Use of Plastics in a Post-COVID Europe: the Nudging of Consumers”.
The event “COVID-19, digitalização da sociedade e outros desafios para o Direito do Consumo” is jointly organised by Jus-Gov (E-tec), University of Minho (School of Law), De Conflictu Legum, and University of Santiago de Compostela (School of Law). In this webinar, scholars from Portugal, Spain, and Brazil discuss current topics related to the digitalisation of society and consumer law. The event will promote the interaction of legal communities across the three countries.
The event will be held in Portuguese, Spanish, and Galician.
The event addresses the main legal challenges posed by COVID-19 and the pandemic for consumers. Among others, it identifies the main challenges, discusses how these are addressed, what legislative and policy changes are being observed and looks into the future of consumer law.
The Compostela Group of Universities (GCU) is an important international network of universities that gathers over sixty universities worldwide. The University of Minho (UMinho) is one of its founding members. In 2020, UMinho’s research group “State, Enterprise and Technology (E-Tec)” organised a series of five webinars debating implications of COVID-19 in several legal domains.
