Co-Organisers: Technische Universität Dresden, Technical University of Munich, University of Stuttgart, and University of Augsburg
This year’s annual seminar is organised by the Technical Univeristy of Munich and will take place in Saldenburg in the Bavarian Forest. PhD researchers from each organising university will have two and half hours to present their research. The presentations and discussions will be complimented by poster sessions and social activities.
UNU-FLORES PhD Researcher Agossou Gadedjisso-Tossou will present his research on “Impact of Soil and Climate Variability on Crop Water Productivity and Food Security of Irrigated Agriculture in West Africa”.
He will be discussing the potential of deficit and supplemental irrigation for maize in northern Togo, and how maize crop responds to soil and climate variability in that region.
The PhD seminar is an annual event for water resources management students from the above mentioned Universities and is jointly organised by PhD students of Prof. Bardossy (University of Stuttgart), Prof. Kunstmann (University of Augsburg/KIT Garmisch), of Prof. Disse (Technical University of Munich), and of Prof. Niels Schütze (TU Dresden).
