Following up on discussions in the Joint Academic Committee (JAC), currently enrolled students and their supervisors of the Joint PhD Programme in Integrated Management of Water, Soil, and Waste convene on 25 June 2019 to take stock of the progress of their research to date. The PhD Symposium is an annual event.
In its fourth year running, the PhD programme jointly offered by UNU-FLORES and Technische Universität Dresden is the first international PhD programme addressing integrated resources management in a holistic way. It is home to 8 young researchers from seven countries, most of them in the developing world. In line with UNU-FLORES’s research agenda, their dissertation research topics are focused on solving current challenges related to the Water-Soil-Waste Nexus.
