Before joining UNU-FLORES as Event Coordinator in 2019, Claudia Seiler worked at the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School, England. In her capacity as a Knowledge Exchange Executive, she supported the newly established Consumer Data Research Centre (CDRC) for nearly five years in the organisation, delivery, and development of numerous national and international training and capacity building events.
Prior to that, Claudia worked in the media industry for private and public TV channels. Over seven years, she applied her knowledge in business development, business planning, and financial controlling before embarking on a career change that started as a volunteer for Service Civil International (SCI) in India.
During her studies in the UK, she gained an understanding of development issues and specialised in topics related to food and land rights, indigenous people, social movements, and human rights.
Now she combines her profound cultural experience and understanding gained through NGO work and extensive travels in the Global South with her professional and academic expertise. Many years of work experience in communications, project and process management, corporate development, and controlling round off her profile. One of Claudia’s key responsibilities at UNU-FLORES is the organisation of the Dresden Nexus Conference.
