    Biographical Statement

    Mahesh Jampani is a PhD Researcher in the System and Flux Analysis Considering Global Change Assessment Unit at UNU-FLORES. A hydrologist specialised in Groundwater and Environmental Modelling, his thesis is on the integrated evaluation of wastewater irrigation for sustainable agriculture and groundwater development. Previously he worked with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), India. He has participated in several surface, subsurface, and groundwater investigations in different geological terrains. Jampani has experience on a range of topics including Environmental Impact Assessments on water resources and modelling, as well as the fate and transport of contaminants using numerical and statistical approaches. While working with IWMI, he also worked on integrated assessments and socioeconomic aspects of water management. He holds his Master’s degree in Hydrology, from Andhra University, India. He has over fourteen peer-reviewed journal articles and around thirty conference abstracts, proceedings, book chapters, and technical reports. He is Reviewer for various scientific journals including Journal of Hydrology, Science of the Total Environment, Agricultural Water Management, and Water Policy.
