    Biographical Statement

    Timothy Dube is a full Prof of Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation, with a special focus on its applications in environmental and water science. Satellite remote sensing and spatial modeling of water resources and their interactions with the environment, as well as ecosystem responses to climate and water cycle changes, are among his current research and teaching interests. He has extensively published, with over 150 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles in top ISI journals, as well as books and book chapters. He is the recipient of the University of the Western Cape’s Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC)’s 2018 Research and Innovation Best Early Career Research Award and the DVC’s 2020 Research and Innovation Mid-Career Research Award for his high-impact research. In addition, he is also the recipient of the Young African Researchers Awards from the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in 2021.
