2021/11/15 Dresden, Germany
The fourth edition of the Dresden Nexus Conference (DNC2022) will take place 23–25 May 2022. DNC is a collaborative effort brought to you by the United Nations University (UNU-FLORES), the Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden), and the Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER).
Since the inception of the DNC in 2015, the international conference provides a platform to discuss current research and initiatives involving the Resource Nexus. It is a meeting point for academics, UN agencies, decision- and policymakers from UN Member States, businesses, and civil society from the local to global scale to discuss current research and initiatives applying the Resource Nexus approach.
Under the theme “Biodiversity – Stewardship for Vital Resources”, DNC2022 will focus on strengthening biodiversity with other societal challenges (e.g., climate change, urban and regional development, agri-food and forest systems and circular economy).
The programme will explore research and practical examples of sustainable resource management in communities around the world and how these management strategies support the achievement of the SDGs.
