Lecturer: Prof. Dominik Möst (TU Dresden)

Prof. Dominik Möst (TU Dresden) presents at Nexus Seminar No. 35

Despite general awareness of climate change, global greenhouse gas emissions have increased more in the last 10 to 15 years than ever before (in absolute numbers). This Nexus Seminar will provide an overview of the existing challenges in the energy industry. Prof. Möst will speak about the developments in European and German power industry, especially with a focus on the integration on renewable energies. He will discuss both challenges to the security of supply as well as of prices. In addition, an overview of expected developments in the transport of electricity will be given. Thereby, the impact of electric mobility on the electric power system as well as major resources will be introduced.

    Nexus Seminar Series

UNU-FLORES in collaboration with the Faculty of Environmental Sciences of TU Dresden is excited to announce the Nexus Seminar Series. The joint seminar series, which launched in 2015, features lectures by senior scholars that highlight all dimensions of research on the Nexus Approach, ranging from hands-on implementation strategies to theoretical debates. The Nexus Seminars serve not only as a platform for scientific exchange and cooperation between UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden but also a medium for the partner institutions to discuss their research with a broader audience.

Taking place once a month, each seminar is open to the public and held alternatingly at UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden.

Please find all past Nexus Seminars here.
